blog:a peice of shocking news

A piece of shocking news: who should be responsible for this tragedy?

Since the earth quake has taken place in Sichuan province, all we heard about is the positive news which excites me a lot, such as the People’s Liberation Army’s prompt and effective rescues, the government‘s quick and all-round measures to handle the various issues after the quake, the medical professional’s selfless dedication to the victims and to the prevention of epidemic disease. But today I read the shocking news on New York times via the internet, which really makes me hard to say anything. The title of news is” Parents’ Grief Turns to Rage at Chinese Officials”. Why the parents are so sad and angry about the officials? In a word, the parents who lost their only child in the quake believe that the cheesy construction of the school killed their beloved not the natural disaster alone.

My elder brother was an excellent student when he was at school and at home he was a good brother who took good care of me,thank you,my dear brother,I ‘d appreciate it.
Time flies!my elder brother will be father soon, but what he said and what he did were clearly standing in my mind, there was one thing left a deep impression on me,I remembered my brother never used the school bag when he went to school, instead of it he prefered a plastic bag which was used for holding the clothes,it looked very nice and suited him even more……

blog:treasure our life

We should treasure our life, sometimes I find living in this world isn’t easy, there are so many troubles aound us,we have to worry about a lot of things, diseases and disasters often rounds us.If we can live in this world safely then we should express gratitude to God.
This world is beautiful ,I love life, lucky,God blesses me with good health, what’s more,I have a happy family,I have a lot of good friends,I am satisfied with my life, though I am not rich .
If you have ever read the book written by Helen Keller, you will treasure life further, you will find that how lucky you are.It is the same old story of not being grateful for what we have until we lose it,of not being conscious of health until we are ill.
It’s difficult to live alone, let’s face the difficulty with courage, let’s smile at life,be strong enough to face the world each day,you will find the world so beautiful.

blog: Why do I want to study English

[ 2008-4-1 23:07:00 | By: maddog]
I am working for a international trading company and I am the director of Finance Department. We don’t use English very often, in most cases, we use our native language: Chinese. Our Sales and Marketing Department uses English necessarily because they need to communicate with our venders and clients, our venders and clients are using English.

We use English only when we deal with financial documents. I don’t have a clear aim studying this language, I just want to improve my English level in order to talk to other English speakers. I hope I can get more enjoyment not stress from studying

Blog: Old People

At age ninety-two, Grandma Fritz still lived in her old two-story farmhouse, made homemade noodles, and did her laundry in her wringer-washer in the basement. She maintained her vegetable garden, big enough to feed all of Benton County, with just a hoe and spade. Her seventy-year-old children lovingly protested when she insisted on mowing her huge lawn with her ancient push mower.

“I only work outside in the cool, early mornings and in the evenings,” Grandma explained, “and I always wear my sunbonnet.”

Still, her children were understandably relieved when they heard she was attending the noon lunches at the local senior citizens’ center.

Yes, Grandma admitted, as her daughter nodded approvingly. “I cook for them. Those old people appreciate it so much!”

Blog: But it wasn’t special anymore.

I stood alone in the garage. The boys had long since moved away from home, and suddenly I realized that the football had never been so special at all. Children playing with it when it was their time to play is what would have made it special. I had blown those precious, present moments that can never be reclaimed, and I had saved a football. For what?

I took the football across the street and gave it to a family with young kids. A couple of hours later I looked out the window. They were throwing, catching, kicking and letting skid across the cement my all-leather, NFL regulation, 1963 Chicago Bears-inscribed football.

Blog:Schooling and Education

It is commonly believed in United States that school is where people go to get an education. Nevertheless, it has been said that today children interrupt their education to go to school. The distinction between schooling and education implied by this remark is important.

Education is much more open-ended and all-inclusive than schooling. Education knows no bounds. It can take place anywhere, whether in the shower or in the job, whether in a kitchen or on a tractor. It includes both the formal learning that takes place in schools and the whole universe of informal learning. The agents of education can range from a revered grandparent to the people debating politics on the radio, from a child to a distinguished scientist. Whereas schooling has a certain predictability, education quite often produces surprises. A chance conversation with a stranger may lead a person to discover how little is known of other religions. People are engaged in education from infancy on. Education, then, is a very broad, inclusive term. It is a lifelong process, a process that starts long before the start of school, and one that should be an integral part of one’s entire life.

Schooling, on the other hand, is a specific, formalized process, whose general pattern varies little from one setting to the next. Throughout a country, children arrive at school at approximately the same time, take assigned seats, are taught by an adult, use similar textbooks, do homework, take exams, and so on. The slices of reality that are to be learned, whether they are the alphabet or an understanding of the working of government, have usually been limited by the boundaries of the subject being taught. For example, high school students know that there not likely to find out in their classes the truth about political problems in their communities or what the newest filmmakers are experimenting with. There are definite conditions surrounding the formalized process of schooling.

Blog:. disease, pls keep away from my relatives

Today,my boyfriend and I heard of a bad news, that our little sister (my boyfriend uncle’s daughter)was sent to hospital to make a heart operation. She just a six-years girl.I hardly imagine how painful she had to bear now.It is really a dangerous operation.I want to ring her and say”my honey,do not afraid and cry,all of relatives are waiting for your good news.”However I have no a little bravery to tell her.I really afraid that all of us lost a smart angel.Especially our grandpa and grandma.

I have to ask god once again why let a cute girl suffer so much pain.
